Matthew's Celebrity Pixies Covers

Pretty interesting thing going on this Sunday at sunset. This weekend is one of only two times a year (again on July 13) when the sun sets directly in line with every straight cross street in Manhattan.

Here is a bit of a preview from our apartment. The windows in the living room point west and some nights, we get a nice sunset over the sliver of Hudson river we see.

Now if I can only figure out how to build a balcony…

So anyhow, I just thought I’d give this whole thing a try. I don’t fancy myself a writer type, so we will see what happens.

I this as a place to exchange links, post some manifestos, hear what people have to say, you know just like every site of its kind out there.

Some potential topics may or may not include-

• computing- where its going, why it can be lame, building a pc
• photography- some things I have taken over the years, perhaps a photo-taken-each-day category
• beer- homebrew experiences, drinking it
• gaming- no not gambling, 360, etc
• music- hipster crap only and perhaps a downloadable music "show" (thanks Jim)
• NYC- thoughts on one of my true loves
• Urban Planning- or “Why I love Jane Jacobs”
• Patrick Mimran

I look forward to going weeks on end without posting and generally spewing some nonsense. I will be relying on friends and posters alike if I get too daring fireball-like ot q.queso-esque.

Ok, this is it… getting ready to cash it all in and do this full time. Looks like things are going pretty well. I already have some comments and recently received my first piece of hate mail.

The hate mail wasnt related to the blog, just thought it was interesting.

Anyhow… back to it.
